Project Brief : The client was a family of 5 who wanted to build a new house that would separate all the semi-private spaces like the living and dining areas completely from the rest of the house but still retaining the feel of a home rather than an apartment. Natural light was very important to them, especially in the living spaces.
Concept : The proposal was that of a formal and informal living room on the ground floor, the former being a double height space which is wrapped around by a double height corner window, placed in the shade of louvers to integrate a play of light and shade in the interior space.
