REDEVELOPMENT OF GHOGHLA BEACH, DIU

In collaboration with the National Center for Sustainable Coastal Management, an overall master plan for the redevelopment of Ghoghla beach in Diu.

In an attempt to attain a blue flag certification, the idea was to bring the public beach to the same quality as those across Europe.

To do so, shacks were designed that could be assembled and disassembled when required. Toilet & shower blocks were designed out of bamboo and thatch roof. Beach seating along the coast was added with custom designed umbrellas. Info & admin center and tourist blocks were designed and added.

In addition, volley ball courts, jogging tracks, gymnasium, children's play area were added to the brief.
